Jupiter Goes Retrograde In Sagittarius
Jupiter, the biggest planet in the solar system that influences us with expansion, growth, and abundance, is going retrograde today in Sagittarius. Jupiter first enter its place of comfort and power as Sagittarius's natural ruler back in November 2018, helping us to expand our spiritual selves, grow our dreams and opportunities, and receive abundance in all forms.
We've been undergoing a spiritual transformation as we are on this quest for truth, for meaning, and for a higher purpose. Our environments have been changing, our relationships transforming, and our opportunities have become more available for us to grow.
Like any planet that goes retrograde, it appears to us here on earth as the planet is moving backwards in the sky, when in reality, it's just an illusion. The planet isn't actually going in reverse, but rather it's at a slowed pace in its orbit and while other planets appear to fly past this retrograde planet, we see it as moving backwards.
When a planet is in a retrograde, the influence of energies that is usually projected outside of ourselves, occurring in our outer realities, move inward. Retrogrades are a time for us to slow down, reflect, re-adjust, before resuming our paths forward.
The most famous retrograde that most people are aware of is Mercury's retrograde. Mercury's retrograde gets a bad wrap because it causes so much chaos and disconnect among communication styles.
There is nothing to worry about with Jupiter going retrograde. This optimistic planet is always in good spirits and even though we may be challenged to try and slow our pace, growth, and evolution down for just a sec, Jupiter's positive energy always has a looking at the bright side of things. Jupiter is what I like to call "the silver linings" planet, because even in the midst of some really tough challenges or hardships, Jupiter shows us the silver linings to everything we experience and endure.
Jupiter will be in retrograde until August, making for a pretty sweet timeframe for us to slow down a bit to catch our breath and get our bearings. This year has been an intense series of life lessons and upgrades which seem to come back to back and more intense then the ones that came before it. This nice little break will have us moving inward to explore where we currently are at in our faith, in our beliefs, in our dreams.
Think back to November 2018, and think of all the really good things that have happened since then. Now think of all the bad things. If you take a good look at that bad list, you will see the silver linings emerge out of those hardships and from that you will gain a bigger perspective and picture on why certain things had to happen to get you to this place on your path.
Over the next several months we will be upping our spiritual game. This is a great time to dive into any kind of schooling or eduction especially where spirituality is concerned. This is where we learn how to be more authentic, more real. This is where we learn to speak our truth with every ounce of bravery we have within. This is where we get to expand our inner world, grow our spirit, and accept the abundance in love, learning, and evolution we've been blessed with.

Where The MAGIC Begins
Although the Tarot deck technically starts at 0 with THE FOOL, because the energy of that card can represent the beginning or the end of a quest, the Tarot really begins with THE MAGICIAN (1).

THE MAGICIAN (1) kicks the deck off with a spark and glimmer of magic as it symbolizes new beginnings and brand new opportunities. It is associated with Mercury (the planet of communication, information, and intellect), and it is an air element ruling the mental plane.
The figure stands before you with all the elements (fire, air, earth, water) in front on display. As one arm reaches to the sky, and the other points to the ground below, THE MAGICIAN (1) connects the spiritual realm above, with the earth here in the physical world. THE MAGICIAN (1) is the connector of the two, harnessing the powers that be from both sources. The connection to the upper realms helps bring life to the goals here in the physical realm.
With all of the elements at THE MAGICIAN's disposal, the resources are within reach to create whatever is needed here on earth. There is also symbolism in what THE MAGICIAN is wearing as the white robe symbolizes purity, while the red cloak represents experience and knowledge.
This card speaks of unlimited potential as the infinity sign (the snake eating his own tale) shows no beginning and no end, just an ongoing quest to cycle through each journey and experience.
The mental plane is very active with this card, and with that, the information received by the Seeker, the ideas that spark brilliance in one's mind will only grow into bigger aspirations. The flowers surrounding the figure shows that these ideas are blossoming into something that will be very fruitful for many seasons to come.
There is a certain sense of MAGIC that triggers these new opportunities in one’s life when THE MAGICIAN (1) is revealed.

New Moon In Aries
Today, we have our very first New Moon of the new energetic and astrologic calendar, in Aries. With Aries season well under way, you may be feeling all over the place with your energy, drive, and attention.
Normally, Aries season is full force forward, but this year, because of Mercury being in retrograde and MANY planets in Pisces, we've had the brakes put on our actions. Mars, (Aries ruling planet) just made a switch from Taurus (earth) to Gemini (air) which has caused a disruption in our energy. We are still trying to adjust to the overwhelming thoughts and ideas in our mental plane, while our physical energy just isn't up to par.
The New Moon in Aries, will help us get our butts in gear. It is important for us to take some time under the New Moon energy to think of all of the new things we'd like to see happen in our lives over the course of the next 12 months. Because Aries is all about drive, passion, initiative, and new experiences, this New Moon should have you thinking about the new projects you'd like to start, new experiences you'd like to live, new habits you'd like to form, and new ways of creating passion and joy in your life.
Often times, as we build towards a New Moon, our energy takes a dive and we experience situations and emotions that aren't so pleasant. This happens so we can find the root of these issues and use them to create a roadmap of how to never experience them again.
For instance, Aries, because it is always fired up and ready to take action, also has quite the temper. Mars, the warrior planet, is always ready to engage. Many people can experience bouts of anger and aggression prior to a New Moon in Aries, showing you what isn't working in your life, and then showing you where to create new energy in your life to resolve the anger issues.
New Moon energy is more about setting an intention for change than actually implementing it, so stay inside yourself, think of all the changes you'd like to see happen in your life, and make a list of everything that pops into your head.

I thought today would be a good day to launch a new series about the astrological associations to the Tarot deck.For those of you that aren't familiar with the Tarot, it is a deck of cards contain mystical messages of symbolism used for spiritual guidance. It represents an innocent spirit, full of hope and faith, on a journey or quest that excites the Soul. He walks with his head to the sky, connected to the Universe, knowing that he is being guided by a force much greater than anything here on earth.He edges near a cliff where he seems to pay no mind. His loyal companion along side of him proves to offer the protection he needs as he faces the new territory before him. His belongings tied up in a sac, thrown over his shoulder, represents not needing much from this material world.THE FOOL is marked with the number 0 as it is both the beginning and the end of the spirit we embody at the beginning and end of our quest. This card is strongly associated with Uranus and Aquarius, and as an air element.THE FOOL represents the beginning of an idea. The intellectual and intuitional connection Uranus & Aquarius has with the Universe, is what connects THE FOOL to the Universe. His knowing of something greater.
